Meet the President

James E. Christensen - President & CEO

As President & CEO, I'd like to welcome you to Gateway Commercial Bank , your new hometown bank. I'm excited about the services we can provide and the ways in which we can help your business.

Let me begin by telling you about myself. I received a BS in Business from Baker University and have been active in banking since 1986. I'm also a third generation bank president. Prior to joining Gateway Commercial Bank , I served for more than a decade as a president and board member of a 100-year-old Midwest bank. Simply put, banking - and serving the customer - is my passion.

I moved to Mesa in 1998 with my wife and two daughters, drawn by both the climate and the community. From 1998 to early 2007, I continued to serve as president of my Midwest bank, making a weekly commute to oversee things. I'm now happy to have my sights focused solely on Gateway Commercial Bank . I chose this bank, and it chose me, in part because we both care deeply about community involvement and how it enables us to provide the best possible service.
