Ralph V. Wilson, M.D.

Ralph (Val) Wilson was born in Boone, Iowa, and graduated from the University of Iowa Medical School in 1963. He spent two years serving in the U.S. Army, stationed in military hospitals in Fort Polk, Louisiana, and in Vietnam. Ralph completed his Orthopedic Residency at Vanderbilt University Hospital in 1970. He and his family then moved to Mesa where he joined Mezona Orthopedics. He has been President of this organization for twenty-six years. Ralph is also a member of the Executive Committee of Banner Mesa Hospital and serves on the Board of Directors of the Orthopedic Surgeons Network of Arizona.
Other medical affiliations include membership in the Maricopa County Medical Society, the Arizona Medical Association, the American Medical Association, and the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons. Ralph is currently a member of the Mesa Rotary, Board of Directors of Mesa YMCA, Mesa Sister Cities, World Affairs Council, and King of Glory Lutheran Church.
Previously Ralph served as Chief of Staff of Banner Mesa Hospital and President of the Mesa Community Council. He participated in medical missions to Kuwait, Ecuador, Peru, Taiwan, Nepal, St. Lucia and Brazil.
Ralph is married to Marilyn and they have three adult children and five grandchildren. His hobbies include golf, tennis, reading, bridge and travel.
