Alice Wilcox was very excited to join Gateway Commercial Bank as their Chief Financial Officer while the bank was in organization. Alice's banking career started at a small community bank in 1975. For the next thirteen years she worked in various sized banks and obtained a unique and exciting view of the industry. Taking a break to pursue her education and to discover other financial arenas, she received a well rounded financial background in several different industries such as health care, government, and public accounting. In December, 2004, she returned to her first choice, banking, as Senior Vice President, Chief Financial Officer at Sunstate Bank.

A native of Arizona, Alice graduated from Arizona State University, magna cum laude, with a degree in Accountancy and is a Certified Public Accountant. In August, 2007, Alice graduated from Pacific Coast Banking School in Seattle, Washington, with honors.

Volunteering at her local church, Alice has served as the director of the preschool programs, a member of the youth council, and a preschool, youth, and college student bible teacher. She also volunteers on campaign committees for certain political candidates and has served as treasurer for candidates in county and local elections.

Of the many joys in life, her husband, three children, and six grandchildren are her greatest. Along with spending time with them she also enjoys camping, hiking, and sewing.
