Gene is a real estate
businessman who is currently
active in land development. A
Civil Engineering graduate of
South Dakota State University,
Gene began his career in
Public Works. Gene has owned
various firms in real estate
sales, residential, commercial
and land development. As a former co-owner of
Security Bank and Security Mortgage, Gene served
as President of the bank holding company. He was
also a Director of the bank and served on various
executive and board committees. Gene served his
community of Brandon, South Dakota, as a council
person and mayor. He is currently a Trustee of the
South Dakota State University Foundation and a
Director at Large for Lutheran Outdoors of S.D.
Gene and his wife Diane have three grown
children. They enjoy family vacations and all
outdoor activities.
