Donna is a Senior Director with a national accounting firm, that provides accounting, tax and business consulting services to companies on the move. Donna specializes in tax planning and compliance for high net worth individuals and closely held businesses with an emphasis on estate planning and business succession. She has been in the field since 1984. A partner of Gallant & Company when they were acquired by American Express Tax & Business Services in 1991, Donna became a Managing Director, and held that position until the firm was purchased in 2005.
Well known for her income tax and estate tax knowledge, Donna has written articles for The Catholic Sun, Arizona Woman, Arizona Homes & Lifestyle and Mortgages, Ltd. Opportunity News. In addition, she has been quoted in The Arizona Republic and Forbes Magazine. In 1999 Donna was awarded a Special Citation for Exceptional Volunteer Service to the American Red Cross and in 2001 she was a finalist in Arizona Woman's Golden Heart of Business Award.
Originally from New York City, Donna earned both her Bachelor of Science degree (Accounting) and her Master of Taxation degree at Arizona State University. As an active member of the community, she is a member of the Planned Giving Committee of the Catholic Community Foundation and Fresh Start Women's Foundation. Donna is also a member of Valley Estate Planners and Women at the Top.
When she is not working, Donna enjoys the theater, golf, traveling, and spending time with her daughter and son in law, Christine and Tim Deaton, and her grandson Luke.
